Barry Hatton is a Founding Director and shareholder of SMI Business Impact after 18 years sales, marketing and business management roles in the information technology sector.
He initially joined a small 3 person business as General Manager and partner. Barry was instrumental in growing the business to a staff of over 55 and revenues of $15M with a broad client base including mining, banking, insurance, government, universities and education. The business was focused on retail and corporate sales plus professional services including specialist application development.
Following the sale of the business, Barry was head hunted to assist in re-establishing the WA branch of an international networking and systems business. This business was subsequently sold to IBM and he joined 350,000 other employees and was recognised for outstanding sales results in 2004.
One of his major roles was as Project director and Account Executive for a new technology IP telephony solutions and call centre operations implemented into two separate large government departments.
Barry has been a Rotarian since 1991 and is currently Treasurer and Board member with the Rotary Club of Melville. Barry was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship in 2001 by the club for services to Rotary.
